I have never been to Lima, Peru but I have seen a few pictures and it looks like a radical place, that one day I would like to visit. Each city / town has their own secret skateboard scene lurking right in the underground. Always finding spots to skate in the street, in the back alleys, any make shift rock walls – they all are necessary spots when stepping on a skateboard.
A friend of mine, Mark Reategui sent me a video called ‘Lima Kaos.’ Full of totally excellent skateboarding in, yep, you guessed it, Lima, Peru. Starting the journey off skating through the Hensley bar, and then immediately hitting the streets.
Complete with a radical sound track, the skateboarding is top notch. The skaters are so innovative and so inventive. Seeking out some gnarly skate obstacles, they take nothing in the streets for granted and it shows. Complete with some radical slams, this videos shows how you can shred anything you put your mind too. Skateboarding is very much alive and well in Lima and is worth a checkout.
Like someone in the video comments said “SKATE PUNK IS NOT A CRIME.”
